This reminds me of the Melodium Podium. At Oberlin College, a few (ahem) years ago, we'd hike out to the reservoir for skinny dipping. There was a smooth flatish rock just big enough to stand on, sticking out of the water, which we christened the Melodium Podium. We took turns swimming to it, standing up and reciting an extemporaneous poem, saying, or other silly thing made up on the spot, then diving back in while everyone was laughing.
So now that I've found myself on the Melodium Podium of the blogesphere:
